Privacy Policy for Start Tasks

Effective date: August 2, 2026
Last updated: August 2, 2026

This policy explains how Start Tasks: One Workable Move handles information. Questions can be sent to appsdevacademy@gmail.com.

Local task data

The app stores the content you enter—such as Mind Load items, next moves, notes, blockers, waiting details, deadlines, sessions, progress events, reminders, and settings—in a local encrypted database on your device. The core experience does not require an account.

Secure storage

The local database is encrypted with SQLCipher. Database key material is protected using platform security facilities where implemented, including Android Keystore-backed wrapping on Android and secure platform storage on supported Apple devices. No security measure can guarantee perfect protection.

Advertising, AdMob, and consent

The app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for limited native advertising in builds where production advertising is configured. UMP can request or store your consent choices where required. Depending on your choices and applicable law, Google may serve personalized or non-personalized ads.

Advertising SDKs may process device and advertising information such as IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers when available, app interactions related to ad delivery, diagnostics, consent signals, and approximate location inferred from IP. Google’s processing is governed by Google’s own policies.

User-entered task text, next-move text, notes, blocker text, waiting details, person names, search queries, reflections, deadlines, notification content, external-app activity, and local database identifiers are not intentionally sent to AdMob or used to create advertising audiences.

Ads are subject to local eligibility and frequency limits and are excluded from sensitive flows. If consent is unavailable, denied, incomplete, the device is offline, a load fails, or there is no ad fill, the app shows no ad and reserves no space.

Privacy choices

When UMP says a privacy-options entry point is required, you can reopen the available form at Start Tasks → Settings → Privacy choices. The entry may not appear when UMP does not require it or advertising is disabled.

Notifications

Notifications are optional and scheduled on your device after you grant permission. Private notification text is enabled by default so reminders can avoid showing task text. Your operating system may process notification scheduling and display.

Exports and backups

You can create JSON, CSV, and Markdown exports. These readable files contain the information you choose to export and are no longer protected by the app’s encrypted database once shared or stored elsewhere. The app also supports a password-encrypted backup. You are responsible for protecting exported files and remembering the backup password; support cannot recover it.

Data sharing

The app does not intentionally send user-entered task content to advertising, analytics, crash reporting, logs, URLs, or other remote services. Information may be processed by Google for advertising and consent as described above. Information you export or share is sent only to the destination you choose through your device.

Retention, deletion, and uninstalling

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, use the in-app Delete all data action, or uninstall the app, subject to operating-system behavior. Delete all removes the local database, encryption-key material, reminders, widget cache, and temporary exports managed by the app. Files you previously copied or shared elsewhere must be deleted from those destinations separately.

Because support does not possess your local task database, support cannot remotely view or delete that local data. If you uninstall before using Delete all, the operating system normally removes app-private storage, but exported files outside app-private storage may remain.

Children’s privacy

Start Tasks is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through a support request, contact the email above so the request can be reviewed.

International processing

Google and email providers may process limited service information in countries other than where you live. Their protections and legal rules may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Security

The app uses encrypted local storage and avoids placing private task content in advertising requests. Device security, exported files, third-party SDKs, and transmission systems can still create risk. Keep your device updated and protect access to it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by third parties. Use the in-app privacy choices when available and contact the email above with questions. For local task data, you directly control export and deletion on your device.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app or applicable requirements change. The Last updated date will be revised, and material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing.
